Chase has elected not to seek certification because of the abundant audits conducted by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). With approximately 90% of our business involved in government markets, the Defense Contract Management Agency ( DCMA) routinely conducts Quality Audits of the Chase QMS. The DCMA carries out audits in a similar way to a third-party registrar. Certification to the quality standards will not reduce the frequency or eliminate the DCMA audits, hence the incentive to certify is absent. In addition to the DCMA QMS Audits, Chase has undergone QMS Audits by Teledyne Brown, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Parker Hannifin, space launch companies, and others. The results of the DCMA and Customer audits over the course of several years has only raised only a few nonconformance that were promptly corrected.
The Chase QMS is completely electronic. Documents and records are available upon request.
